How to calculate square meters
A square meter is the area of a square with 1 m sides.

Measure length and width
Use the same unit for both. The calculator turns centimeters, feet and inches into meters before multiplying.

Multiply
Square meters = length × width. A 12 × 10 ft room is 3.6576 × 3.048 m, or 11.15 m².

Convert from square feet
Multiply square feet by 0.0929: 1,000 sq ft is 92.9 m². The other way, multiply m² by 10.764.
